AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

AMEND by striking lines 958 through 965 and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
(6) Physicians' services. * * * All fees for physicians' services shall be reimbursed at a rate not less than seventy percent (70%) and not more than ninety percent (90%) of the rate established on January 1, 1999, under Medicare (Title XVIII of the Social Security Act, as amended), subject to the availability of funds specifically appropriated therefor, and which shall, in no event, be less than seventy percent (70%) of the rate established on January 1, 1994. The division shall pay ten percent (10%) of any co-payment for physicians' services rendered to a person dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare.
AMEND by striking the sentence beginning on line 1028 and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
On July 1, 1999, all fees for dental care and surgery under authority of this paragraph (10) shall be reimbursed at a rate not more than twice the amount of the reimbursement rate that was in effect on June 30, 1999, subject to the availability of funds specifically appropriated therefor.
FURTHER, amend by inserting the following after line 1082:
On July 1, 1999, all fees for dentists' services reimbursed under authority of this paragraph (14) shall be reimbursed at a rate not more than twice the amount of the reimbursement rate that was in effect on June 30, 1999, subject to the availability of funds specifically appropriated therefor.
